The Blue Clover Eventing team is thrilled to welcome into the barn Freddie Mac. Owned by the Ellis family, “Freddie” is a spectacular up and coming 5 year old purchased with serious upper level intentions. Freddie Mac was found in New Zealand by Mel and Ross Smith of NZhorses.com, the same group that paired together Valerie and Clifton Jade. Freddie was competing as a 4 year old in the 1m jumping classes when Ross spotted his incredible potential as an eventer…16.3, uphill, well bred (Freddie is by Heroicity, a famous sire of both race and sport horses alike), and gorgeous…what more could you ask for! A few short months later he was on the plane to the States and on his way to his future as an Olympic hopeful. Be on the look-out for Freddie Mac and Valerie to clean up in the Young Event Horse series for 5 year olds in 2010.
